I found this picture on Facebook through my various contacts:
If you live in Victoria (Australia) please get involved, Sherryl Clark knows what she’s talking about, I can’t recommend her enough. However, this picture did inspire an idea. While I’m aware that NaNoWriMo will have group meet-ups scheduled, however because my lack there-of a driver’s licence, I couldn’t get to these events during the week and, with the exception of the State Library NaNoWriMo group-meeting in the CBD, the locations weren’t easily accessible via public transport.
So I’ve decided that I try doing my NaNoWriMo writing at three possible locations:
~The State Library – Writing here would have to be on either the weekends or my day/s off from work and as I work most weekends and my weekly shifts change every week this option might be harder to organize
~The Lerderderg Library – also known as the Bacchus Marsh Library, why it’s called Lerderderg I have no idea, however the library is close to my work so I could finish my shift then head on over and do some writing there
~Victoria University, Footscray Park Campus – I attend classes at the Footscray Park Campus on a Monday
I’m incredibly lazy and have strong hermit tendencies, so for the last two years I’ve just stayed at home and wrote from there and while I know some writers who love writing in cafes, I personally find cafes to be distracting. However, I also want to acknowledge the the fact that I should occasionally try to stretch myself, maybe be more active in the online forums.
So, the questions for the readers are:
~Are you participating in this year’s NaNoWriMo?
~What NaNoWriMo region are you registered with?
~Where is your favorite location to write?
~Do you write alone or in a group?

I’ll probably email Sherryl and book, since I live in Footscray!
I don’t plan to sign up for NaNo because I don’t see the point: I don’t need help with my writing output. Right now challenging myself to put out 50k words in a month goes against the balance I’m trying to figure out, and I’ve written enough this year, I think, that NaNo isn’t required of me.
However, I can totally meet up with you and write or edit with you, even if I’m not NaNo-ing.

Lol, yeah you don’t need any help with writing output, you’re dynamite at that, time to kick up your feet π you’ve definitely earned a break and a reward. I shall have to take you up on the offer of non-nano writing meet up π I need to get back into the habit of doing regular writing hours for my novel projects, I’ve kind of let my blogging take over, but I’ll get back into it.

Thanks. It’s not so much dynamite as it is crazy, but there is output involved, so it kind of works? Ish?
On, then. I will be your NaNo cheer squad. And your test reader down the track, I very much hope!
