Yeah… You know that saying that if it wasn’t for the last minute nothing would get done? Well I starting to suspect I’m the living embodiment of that expression.
The NaNoWriMo Checklist:
How are you feeling right now?
On the Outside:
On the inside:
Do you have snacks?
Yes, I have, I have salted nut snack packs, soft-eating licorice (blueberry and pomegranate flavour, I can’t stand aniseed, how do you eat pomegranates anyway? They are so weird looking), sea-salt flavoured potato chips, those Instant Wokka Noodles thingies, dried apricots
That sounds rather unhealthy
Well I plan on using my exercise bike and go for walks and stuff, alright fine just use my exercise bike. The NaNoWriMo organisation encourage that, I’m allowed to take breaks.
What locations will you be writing at this week?
Well I was planning on staying at home on Saturday and Sunday, however (depending on the weather) I was planning on going to Victoria University on Monday, as Tuesday is a public holiday I’ll be at home but I’m also planning on going to the local Library sometime during the week (I need to stop by the my bookstore this week and those two objectives can be achieved simultaneously). I was thinking of dropping by Pro Gamers and Collectibles but I wasn’t sure that would be a good idea, it might take too long to get there by public transport and I don’t want to get in the way.
What tools are you planning on using to help keep yourself organised?
I’m using a meal planner to help organise all my meals and stuff, I’ll be using programs like yEdit to help type up words, then copying and pasting into a word document at the end of the day.
Hmmm… Cooking sounds like a distraction
No, no, it’s only meals like dinner and lunch, no baking things like lemon slice or chocolate-chip biscuits 😦
Do you have an infinite supply of tea, sugar, and milk?
NO! That’s it, I need to contact the NaNoWriMo organisation, I have to tell them to cancel the whole thing!
Do you have shifts at work this week?
Yeah, I have a shift on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. However, I also have my work rosters for the next three weeks which is good for organisation
Is there a theme-song you can use, you know one that embodies accepting the fact you’re probably going to fail to get to 80,000 words?
Well I’m sure there’s a lot of those, but this is the first one that comes to mind
Any other information you’d care to impart at this point? As you wont’t be posting for a while
Yeah, I applied and paid for my ABN and business name this week, super exited about that 😀
