This week I have really struggled to get my word counts down, I was aiming to do two thousand words a day but I’m barely managing to get one thousand eight hundred words a day, which I know is better than no words at all but it’s a little disappointing as last year I was aiming to do three thousand words a day and usually managed to get two thousand five hundred words done. I think a lot of it has to do with Plotting, I’ve only got one-third of my novel outline written down, where as with Metamorphosis I have an a super detailed chapter by chapter outline. There’s a lot of rambling in this one and it’s going to need some serious editing, all in all, it pays to outline.
And then there’s my massive procrastination tendencies, like right now for instance, I know I should be writing but instead I’m doing a blog post. Also my character is traveling from Australia to the UK so I ended up finding this on YouTube
I don’t know why, but I can’t help but giggle every time I watch that video and yeah I’m aware that makes me a terrible person. So I’ve been using YouTube and Novel Research as procrastination, so business as usual. Anyway, here’s a list of resources and links I’ll be using, hopefully other people might find them helpful:
