Review:
~Scented Item: This item has a strong smell. The closest approximation of the scent would be overly-sweet coconut scent. I bought this on the 09/09/2018 and it still has a strong scent to it. I suspect it’s going to take a while to air out. For me, it’s more irritating than nauseating, although this is a fine line for me personally.
~Size Category: It’s listed as jumbo, but I don’t think it’s big enough to fit into the jumbo category, it looks more like a medium to me. I’ll provide a scale image for comparison:
Image Description: The background of the image is a navy blue couch with an alternating pattern of dark yellow fleur-de-lis pattern and a maroon red pattern. The foreground of the image contains two objects. From left to right, a large squishable strawberry with a metallic sheen coating on the surface of the strawberry. The strawberry has green leaves and a green stem at the top. The body of the strawberry is a gradual blending of blue, yellow and pink. On the right, a medium-sized red squishable strawberry
~Fragility: With these larger squishies, I find them easier to damage or break, paint peels off easier or it’s easier to damage the stems (even after minimal use). I’ve barely touched this item yet the stem is already peeling in places.
~Squishability: The squishability is good, it’s slow-rising, but firm. The surface of the strawberry makes it nice to run my fingers across, the texture isn’t as nice as my Jumbo Metallic Strawberry Squishy, but nice enough for a cheap stim toy.
While I like this stim toy, I can’t honestly recommend this particular version of it, especially those with a strong sense of smell. I would be happy to look past the fragility of the item, if it wasn’t for the strong scent. The strong scent makes it difficult to use and the whole point of a stim toy is to be able to use it.
