This month I did have quite a lot of Family Events, and while it was good to catch up with my family, I have yet to figure out a way to properly balance all the important elements in my life. I tend to see-saw from one extreme end of My Creative Projects to the other extreme end of My Social Obligations.
Previously I tried to post certain posts on certain days of the week (Stim Toy posts on a Monday, Book Review posts on a Tuesday and Thursday), however, that type schedule is no longer working for me. From now on, I’m only going to be posting on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and posts are going to be a random selection. Consistency is more important for me at the moment.
Write minimum of 4 x blog-posts for the month – Goal Accomplished:
I managed to write 6 blog-posts this month, which was good, however, a couple of posts just skirted within the February deadline. This is because the transcription for my YouTube Video subtitles took so long and I didn’t want to write a blog post about my video until it had the subtitles added to it. Unfortunately, it took longer than I had expected to complete, which resulted in a delayed flow-on effect (I think that’s the right terminology).
Write a Stim Toy Review post – Goal Accomplished:
~Stim Toy Collection: Slinkies
Write 2 x Book Reviews per month – Goal Accomplished:
~Book Review: XXXHolic Omnibus – Volume 1 by CLAMP
~Book Review: Black by Fleur Ferris (Australian Women Writers Challenge)
Write a Weekend Notes and Recipe Yum Article – Goal Not Accomplished:
I meant to write-up an article about a passionfruit slice recipe I have, however, I forgot to take pictures of it *sad trombone noise here*. I doubt I’ll get all 3 Recipe Yum articles written. I suspect I’ll just get one Recipe Yum article written for the Quarter.
Film, Edit, Publish 1 Video to YouTube – Goal Accomplished:
I managed to do this, although it did take up a large chunk of my monthly time resources. It’s kind of frustrating how difficult Trint is to use at this stage, however, subtitle/captions are super important to me, I want my videos to have subtitle/captions. I use subtitle/captions for the vast majority of my media consumption if they are available and often subtitles are not available for viewers. YouTube and Media need to improve on making this a more accessible feature for video makers.
So that’s it for February, as March is the last month of the Quarter, I have a lot of things to catch up on. If you want to talk about your latest updates to your creative projects, let me know in the comments section down below, feel free to include a link.
